Last Night’s Quest To See A Show Dream

Last night, I dreamt that I was relaxing poolside at a luxury hotel.  It was a bright, sunny day.  I was wearing a bikini and a sun hat, both of which were black.  I had a book sitting beside me but I can’t remember what it was.  Several of my friends were also there, swimming and relaxing.  Amy was sitting beside me and, as she looked up at the blue sky, she said something about how she couldn’t believe how nice the day was, especially after “everything that’s happened.”

I told her that things always work out and then I lay back and I closed my eyes for a few minutes, enjoying the heat of the sun.  When I did this, the dream suddenly switched to an overhead shot of me and my friends, enjoying the day.

When I opened my eyes, everyone had left and I was alone by the pool.  There a note sitting on top of my book, from Amy.  It said everyone had gone to see the show and they didn’t want to interrupt me.  “Why wouldn’t you want to interrupt me?” I muttered to myself.  At first, I thought that maybe I could go catch up to them but then I realized that I didn’t even know what “the show” referred to.  So, I decided to just sit out by the pool and wait for everyone to return.

The dream then switched to restaurant, where I (now fully dressed) was sitting in a booth, across from Amy and Evelyn.  I asked them what show they had seen.  I can’t remember what the title of it was but they both told me it was really bad.  “I still want to see it,” I said.  “No, you don’t,” they told me and I started to get annoyed because they didn’t seem to understand that I simply had to see the show.

I was then walking down a windy city street at night, still annoyed that they had seen a show without me.  I saw a van sitting across the street from me.  It was covered in wet newspapers.

I was then sitting in my private office, looking up theaters online and trying to figure out what everyone had seen while I was down at the pool.

Then, Jeff and I were sitting in a theater, watching a really bad musical.  Jeff whispered to me, “Why are we watching this?”  I whispered back, “Because no one else is.”

As far as I can remember, that’s when the dream ended.

Last Night’s Dream In Which I Yell At Joe Biden

I was sitting in my car at stop sign in Dallas.  I couldn’t drive forward because the presidential motorcade was driving through the intersection and it was taken forever.  Suddenly, the entire motorcade stopped and Joe Biden stepped out of a limo.  He waved at the people watching and then he started to give a speech.

I honked my horn.  When he looked over at my car, I yelled, “HURRY UP, OLD MAN!”

Suddenly, all these secret service agents came walking up to my car.  And that’s when I woke up.

This Morning’s Con Artist Dream

Last night, I slept without having any dreams.  When I woke up at 6 in the morning, I fed the cat and then curled up on the couch and I dozed off and that’s when I had my dream for the day.

I dreamt that it was raining outside.  There was a man and woman sitting in the living room, talking to me and my sister, Erin.  They wanted us to let them do a mold test on the house.  Both Erin and I knew they were con artists so there was no way we were going to allow them to do a mold test.  I wanted to kick them both out but Erin thought we should at least let them stay until the storm passed.  I woke up before discovering which one of us got our way.

Last Night’s Party Dream

Last night, I dreamt that my neighbors across the street were having a party at midnight.  I was getting dressed up and preparing to go to it when I looked out my bedroom window and saw that three police cars had pulled up to my neighbor’s house.  I watched from my window as person after person was escorted from my neighbor’s house and tossed into the back of a police car.  I decided not to go to the party.

Last Night’s Car Theft Dream

I was driving down a country road in the middle of the night.  As I drove, I saw a barn sitting in the darkness.  I stopped about a yard away from the barn.  I got out of the car and stated to walk towards the barn.  The grass was high and I could hear crickets all around.  I could also see that there was a light on in the barn.  As I got closer to the barn, the light suddenly went out and I was standing in total darkness.  I turned around and started to walk back towards my car but then I realized that I wasn’t sure where I had parked.  I walked around randomly in the dark, looking for the car.  I was starting to get really upset when suddenly, I saw the car sitting off in the distance.  I ran up to the car and got in.  I was surprised to discover keys hanging from ignition but, being in a hurry to get out of there, I went ahead and started the car and drove off.

As I was driving through the dark, I suddenly realized that I wasn’t actually driving my car.  Instead, I had stolen someone else’s car.  I decided that I would drive home and then, in the morning, I would return the car and find my own.

My home, in his dream, was a small cottage sitting next to what appeared to be a trailer park.  As I parked the stolen car in front of the cottage, I saw that my car was sitting in my driveway.  “Oh,” I said, “I guess I never drove my car to begin with.”

The dream skipped ahead to the next morning.  I was now driving my car (my actual car and not the one that I stole) through downtown Dallas.  I drove through Dealey Plaza and then suddenly, I was pulling up in front of the house that I lived in when I was in high school.  In this dream, I owned the house and I used it as a place to keep all of the stuff that I didn’t have room for in my main house.  I got out of the car and walked into the house.  I went to my old bedroom, which still looked exactly the way it did when I was in high school.  I looked through my closet and my dresser and I saw all of my old high school clothes.

I lay down on my bed and, as I stared up at the ceiling, I said, “But this doesn’t make any sense.  I don’t own this house.”  Even though I knew that I didn’t own the house, I decided to remain on the bed.  Several times, I told myself that I needed to hurry up and leave but I didn’t feel like moving.

As far as I can remember, that’s how the dream ended.
