This Morning’s Dream About My Aunt

I was visiting my aunt. We were sitting in her living room and talking and laughing. Suddenly, she got very serious and, giving me a very direct stare, she said, “Lisa Marie …. it’s time to go.”

“I don’t want to go,” I replied, my voice shaking.

That’s when I woke up, feeling worried.

This Morning’s Beach Detective Dream

This morning, I dreamt that I was a homicide detective working in a wealthy, California town that sat near the ocean. The dream’s a bit hazy but I know that a murder had occurred in a mansion and I went to the beach to search for a witness who had disappeared. While I was at the beach, I ended talking to handsome young lifeguard. He was apparently one of my sources and he told me that he hadn’t seen who I was looking for. When I said that I had to find the suspect, the lifeguard said, “Why does it really matter?”

Weird dream.

This Morning’s Shopping With My Sisters Dream

This morning, I dreamt that I was out shopping with my sisters. We were in an old antique store. I found a lamp that had a base that looked like a snowman. I thought it was really cute but when I started to get it, one of my sisters reminded me that I already had one at home. When we left the shop, I discovered that we were in downtown Austin. A friend of ours was going to be performing at a country/western bar so we agreed that we needed to go back to our place and change so that we would be dressed appropriate when we went to hear him. I said something like, “Do I know this guy?” and then I woke up.

This Morning’s Christmas Decorations Dreams

I only got a few hours of sleep this morning (it was more of a nap, if anything) but I do remember dreaming that I was trying to all the ornaments off of my oldest sister’s Christmas tree. She and her family weren’t home and I wanted to do it before they returned so that they wouldn’t have to worry about it. But while I was taking down the ornaments, I kept getting distracted and my mind kept wandering and, just as I heard them coming through the front door, I realized that I hadn’t gotten much done and I felt a bit guilty about that.
