Last night, I dreamt that I was back in high school but that my old high school was now located on a beach. Needless to say, I was a lot more interested in spending my days relaxing on the beach as opposed to going to class so that’s what I did. Day after day, I relaxed on the beach in a bikini and I didn’t worry about a thing. Until one day, as I lay out in the sun and tried to work on my tan, I suddenly realized that final exams were coming up and that I hadn’t been to a single class for months.
I went into the school and walked around the hallways, still wearing my bikini. I continually said to myself that I should probably go home and get dressed more appropriately for school but, at the same time, I knew that I had finals and I didn’t want to risk missing a test. I needn’t have worried because the entire school seemed to be deserted.
I then noticed that the walls were covered with flyers announcing that graduation was coming up that night! That’s when I realized that I had missed the exams and that I wouldn’t be graduating and that I was going to be in so much trouble!
And then I woke up.
Last night, I dreamt that I was relaxing, alone, on the beach of a tropical island. I was lying down on the sand, wearing a black bikini and staring up at the blue sky above. An airplane flew over the island. I heard the sound of birds in the distance. I sat up and looked out at the beautiful ocean. And then I realized that the boat that had brought me to the island had vanished.
“Hello?” I said.
And that’s when I woke up.
I was out for most of last night celebrating the new year but, when I did finally get home, I managed to get a few hours of sleep and I actually did have a dream. It was my first dream of 2020!
It’s just a pity that I can’t remember much about it.
It was yet another one of my dreams where I was back in high school. From what little I can remember, I know that I was angry in the dream because I was trying to get to the graduation ceremony but, whenever I started to leave the house, I would realize that I had forgotten something and I would have to go back inside and look for it.
The other thing I remember about the dream is that I did eventually make it to the graduation ceremony but, for some reason, it was taking place on the beach and the graduation stage was lit by torches. It was very odd and, needless to say, nothing like my actual graduation.
That’s it. It’s a bit of a disappointing dream to start the year off with but we’ve got 12 months to improve on it.
